VTech have released provisioning templates for 3CX for the following phones:

• VSP716A Entry Level SIP Phone
• VSP726A Mid Range SIP Phone
• VSP736A High End SIP Phone
• VSP610A SIP DECT Phone
• VCS754A SIP Audio Conference Unit

VTech is not an officially supported brand for 3CX, so the templates are made available on an "as is" basis only. They have been tested by several 3CX partners already and have been found to work well.

Please note:

Applies to 3CX V14 or 15. VTech firmware must be 2.0.5.1 for models starting VSP, and 1.1.5.C for the VCS754A. 

After adding the template and assigning the model to an extension, then pressing "OK", the Provisioning link might not show on the Phone Provisioning Page. However, you can still provision the phone using the 3CX standard provisioning URL.

If the provisioning URL isn't known, you can find it as follows:

• in 3CX Management console Web Interface, got to Settings / Parameters
• Note the "PROVISIONING_FOLDER" and desired "PROVISIONINGLINK..." values (refer to below example)
• the filename will be [MODEL]_[MAC].cfg

For example: using PROVISIONING_FOLDER, PROVISIONING_LINK_LOCAL, and VSP726A

- PROVISIONING_LINK_LOCAL = ​http://11.22.33.44:5001/provisioning/

- PROVISIONING_FOLDER = abcdefg

then the full provisioning URL will be:

​http://11.22.33.44:5001/provisioning/abcdefg/VSP726A_001234ABCDEF.cfg

2.0.5.1 adds new functionality and fixes a few bugs. In our tests we have found it to be stable but we encourage all installers and administrators of these phones to do their own testing in order to be certain that it works well for them before it is made publicly available.

Firmware version 1.1.5.A for the VTech ErisTerminal SIP phone range can now be downloaded from their website here:  http://ukbusinessphones.vtech.com/support/downloads/

The stock that we are shipping is pre-loaded with version 1.1.2.A. There have now been two new firmware releases since then, both of which include new features as well as important compatibility and security updates so we recommend that you update your phones as soon as possible. It has been thoroughly tested on a wide variety of platforms and we are very happy with its performance.

Important note: Firmware version 1.1.4.A and higher introduce a splash screen that will display on the phone if you have not changed both of the default web interface passwords - user and admin. It is good practice to change these passwords anyway but if you have left the old ones in place, then after you upgrade from 1.1.2.A your customers will start to see a message on their phone screens advising they need to be changed.
